FOTD using Nars April Fools duo

Face: MUFE Mat Velvet + Foundation in Beige, Benefit Erase Paste in no.2 under eyes, MUFE Full Cover Concealer in Beige, Korres Wild Rose brightening powder in WRP3, Lancome Tropiques Mineral Bronzer, Bare Escentuals Faux Tan to contour, Nars blush in Nico on cheekbones.
Eyes: Korres eyebrow pencil in no.3 (lightest shade), Benefit Creaseless Cream eyeshadow in Tattle Tale as a base, Nars eyeshadow duo in April Fools (lighter shade all over lid and green shade on outer half of lid), I used the Sleek Safari eyeshadow palette shades labelled 1,2 and 3 in the pic below. I used no.1 on the outer third of the lid and in the crease, then no.2 right on the outer corners of the eye and then no.3 in the inner corners of the eye.
I used 17 eyeshadow in Ivory Coast on the browbone, MAC Fluidline in Blacktrack only along upper lashline and Loreal Double Extension Mascara to finish it off. I also used Korres eyeliner in no.12 (pastel green) along my waterline to cancel out any redness and carry on the green theme of the eye.
Lips: Nars Catfight and MAC Underage lipglass

Here's what I thought of the new products I used in this FOTD:

MUFE Mat Velvet + Foundation - There has been such a buzz arounf MUFE products that I really wanted to try their foundations. This is the first one I have bought and I have to say that the consistency is way too thick for my liking. It's as thick as the Illamasqua Rich Liquid foundation which just gives an opaque high coverage finish. I just don't think it looks very natural and it gave a bit of a cakey effect to the delicate skin under my eyes. It felt heavy so if you don't like heavy foundations, don't go near this one! As I said about the Illamasqua one, I could see makeup artists using this in music videos or in photoshoots as they are both waterproof and extremely long lasting but for every day use?....just too heavy and cakey.

Korres Eyebrow Pencil in no.3 - This is the lightest shade available and it's for blondes/redheads. It's basically like MAC Omega eyeshadow in pencil form so it's perfect for a really natural finish. It's smooth to apply, longlasting and I really enjoy using it to tidy up my brows.

Korres Eye Pencil in no.12 - I first heard about this liner from Holly (The Yummy Mummy's Beauty Blog) and she had raved about it's qualities as a liner for your waterline to hide any redness. I never would have thought of using it that way. She was totally right, it's a great pastel green colour and a brilliant alternative to a white liner, it just gives a more subtle finish. It doesn't drag on your waterline and is creamy to apply, it's also long lasting. Who would have thought I would love a pastel green eyeliner???
