This weekend in Italy the organisers of the Grand Prix of Europe, which will now bring the 2011 SPEA FIM Trial World Championship to a close on 3rd/4th September, met with CTR Director David Willoughby to discuss their plans. The two day event that will take place high in the French mountains and at the ski resort of Isola 2000 will be a joint venture between Amical Motor Club de Grasse and Moto Club La Guade, with the duties of course plotting and administrative responsibilities being split between the two parties. Speaking about the meeting, CTR Director David Willoughby stated. “I am pleased to report that our talks were very positive, with the organisers confirming that many improvements have been made to the paddock facilities since we last visited Isola 2000 back in 2009. Also I was pleased to learn that despite the late announcement of this event, and with only a limited amount of time to prepare for this Grand Prix, that planning is already in an advanced state. Following our meeting I am confident at this stage that the Trial Grand Prix of Europe will be a good event to bring the season to a close.”
