By the time the riders broke for the midway one-hour interval at 1.30pm local time Andrea Dovizioso was the fastest of the 11 who had been out on track, the Repsol Honda rider?s effort of 1?48.271 taking him to within just over two-tenths of a second of team-mate Casey Stoner?s pole lap from Sunday?s race.

Current Championship leader Casey Stoner (+0.126s on Dovizioso) and San Carlo Honda Gresini rider Marco Simoncelli (+0.238s) made it an all-Honda top three as they kept close tabs on Dovizioso, with Karel Abraham (Cardion AB Motoracing) the final rider under 1?49?. The Czech rider highsided going through turns six and seven just after 1pm.

Repsol Honda?s Dani Pedrosa wrapped his day up just before 1pm having ridden 25 laps and still feeling the physical after-effects of his first race back. Randy de Puniet (Pramac Racing), Hctor Barber (Mapfre Aspar), Hiroshi Aoyama (San Carlo Honda Gresini) and lvaro Bautista (Rizla Suzuki) are all on track on Monday as well.
