Former British Superbike front runner Dan Linfoot had his first run out in a Spanish CEV Moto2 race at Albacete and experienced huge chatter for the first time in his career which made the bike virtually unrideable.

The Harrogate toast-rack had tested the bike twice before heading to the track but no amount of changes could dial out the chatter which forced Linfoot to ride well inside his limits to finish in 16th place.

“It was the first time I have had chatter like that and now I know what other riders mean when they say it can make a bike unrideable. We tried so much stuff to try and get rid of it but in the end I just had to try and ignore it,” said Linfoot, speaking to bikesportnews.com this morning.

“I am sure we will be able to sort it out as I want to get some successful rides in the championship. We haven’t got a race now until September so we will test for a couple of days in August before travelling back to Albacete for the fifth round.”
