Bobryshev and Gonvalves head to Germany

Following the superb second position overall achieved by Evgeny Bobryshev in Uddevalla, Sweden, the Honda World Motocross Team turn their attention to the Grand Prix of Germany in Teutschenthal this weekend (9-10 July) and have their sites set on the podium positions once again.

Following his first career podium in Glen Helen, USA, Bobryshev has since visited the podium on two more occasions (in Portugal and Sweden), making it an impressive total of three in eight races for the young Russian, in only his second full year in the MX1 class. Team-mate Gon�alves has found it a little tougher going but has displayed his potential on numerous occasions, narrowly missing out on the podium in Valkenswaard and Portugal, and posting several strong moto results along the way.

The Teutschenthal track, set deep in the Saxony region of Germany (south of Berlin), will provide a different challenge to recent rounds. Its classic, old- school and natural layout will offer a stiff test for all competitors and its hard-pack surface can become very rutted, making it difficult to find a passing opportunity.

Starts will be crucial and this certainly seems to be a strong suit of the Dunlop shod Honda CRF450R. Both Bobryshev and Gon�alves have received the Lovemytime Holeshot Award at separate Grand Prix this year and will be looking to get the drop once again in this weekend?s motos and put together a strong challenge for the top spots.

?Teutschenthal is a difficult one for me but I quite like it. As everywhere, you must get good starts because it can be difficult coming through from the back as there is not so much places to pass. I am really happy with second place overall last time out in Sweden and am looking to continue to build on this in Germany this weekend and put myself at the front again. I think t hat I will have good speed again and I just need to translate this into the motos.”

?Teutschenthal is one of the tracks on the calendar that has a lot of history and one of the most natural tracks we race. It is really well prepared and watered well but can get pretty rutted with many different lines but not too many variations on the fast ones. I was not so happy with how things went in Sweden and will be looking to put things right again this weekend. I have been training with with my physio in the few days off and feel like I have made good progress.”
