Monster Energy Gallery from Uddevalla

The Monster Energy motocross army went out and conquered at the Grand Prix of Sweden as Steven Frossard powered to victory by winning both MX1 motos. Already the standout rookie of the season, Steven?s not just the biggest talking point in MX1 because he?s the new kid; he?s getting into a pretty tidy habit of winning as well.

The factory Yamaha ace followed and beat Evgeny Bobryshev in the first dash and then escaped to defeat world champion Tony Cairoli in the second race to mix the sweet taste of Monster with champagne from the top step of the podium. More trophies were lifted by the Monster fraternity as Gautier Paulin strode onto the MX2 box for the fifth time in a row
?It feels really good to win again,? said Steven. ?I like this track even if it is slippery and difficult! I tried to stay focussed and ride calmly and my good starts helped a lot with this; it wasn?t easy out there but getting out of the gate first made things easier.?

Before the crush of the opposition began on Sunday, the Monster Energy army were kept occupied on Friday night with a second karting challenge of the year and – as in the USA two months ago – David Philippaerts was the fastest on four wheels in what was a dust-up (surprisingly) free of any shady tactics. The Monster Energy Chevvy was supplying the juice to the spectators trackside as ?DP19? ran-free to the chequered flag. It was then the turn of the media to find the best lap-times and Grand Prix of France Pit-bike racing star Mikey Neale proved that his talents lay not only on two wheels or behind a video camera as he mastered some sideways action. ?It was cool thing to do and it is great that we get activities like this to come to,? said Brazilian GP master Philippaerts afterwards.

The French connection of Frossard and Paulin, plus the consistently fast Tommy Searle (despite a ton of bad luck in the first moto this weekend) sitting sweet in the top three and four positions of each class in the championship standings, the stories for the MX1 and MX2 crowns have some dramatic turns ahead with Germany and Latvia up next in the coming fortnight.
