Factory Yamaha’s Jorge Lorenzo has vowed to try and put some pressure on MotoGP series leader Casey Stoner at this weekend’s Dutch TT and says he will be using maximum effort.
The Spaniard, who lost his head to the Repsol Honda man at Silverstone, uncharacteristically crashed out of the last round along with team-mate Ben Spies, so both riders are keen to get back into podium positions.
“Assen is my favourite track where I’ve won in all categories and also last season. This year it is very special coming here because we celebrate the 50th Anniversary! Now we are in second position in the championship, we come here looking to put pressure on the leader. I need to do the same job as I?ve done before with maximum effort. The team is focused and I wish to come back to finish at least on the podium,” said Lorenzo.
