Picture this if you will, Edmonton Oiler Gilbert Brule was just driving down a road with his girlfriend, when she noticed a couple of hitchhikers and wanted to stop.
What was the reason why? The hitchhikers ended up being U2 front-man Bono and his assistant:

Bono was so gracious that he gave them tickets to the U2 concert in Edmonton on Wednesday and even mentioned Brule's good deed during the concert.
Brule was traveling with his girlfriend Kelsey Nichols in West Vancouver, British Columbia when they spotted a couple of hitchhikers on the side of the road.
Brule took a closer look at one of the hitchhikers and told Nichols, who was driving, to stop.
"I didn’t want to stop, but they waved and G yelled, ‘That’s Bono,’” Nichols told the Edmonton Journal. “I didn’t believe him, so I kept driving."
Brule continually tried to convince Nichols to turn around - and reluctantly she did after they traveled a short distance.
The pair then returned to find Bono, who confirmed his identity and asked for a lift to Horseshoe Bay. Brule and Nichols obliged, and Bono and his assistant traveled in back with Brule's dog, Bella.
