Officine RossoPuro TTre

Moto Guzzi SP 1000 custom
This lovely Moto Guzzi 1000 SP custom is the latest creation from prolific Italian custom shop Officine RossoPuro. It’s called the TTre—a reference to Guzzi’s classic T3 nomenclature and the Isle of Man TT. As an SP, this bike sported a large windshield and a rather awkward lower fairing, with cutouts for the huge V-twin cylinders. Today, that makes the SP less desirable and therefore cheaper than most classic Guzzis. It’s good news for builders like Filippo Barbacane, who appreciate the underlying aesthetics of the bike. The Le Mans-related engine is not short on power, so Filippo has kept the stock internals and added a custom Officine RossoPuro exhaust system. Handling is taken care of with 45mm Marzocchi forks, Asatek shocks, and a complete new Brembo brake system. The tank, fenders, seat unit and foot controls are all custom Officine RossoPuro items, with Tarozzi supplying the bars. That gorgeous paintwork—a very luxe mix of cream and russet brown—was applied by Carrozzeria Melideo. It’s the closest thing to timeless style I’ve seen for a long time.
